SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY

Last updated: September 29, 2026

Every work of art requires a different level of handling.

At Seth B. Minkin Fine Art, we select shipping and delivery methods according to the size, value, framing, destination, and physical characteristics of each work. Depending on your purchase, your artwork may be shipped by parcel carrier, specialty art shipper, freight carrier, local delivery service, or white-glove delivery.

ORDER PROCESSING

Processing times vary according to the type of artwork purchased.

Signature Originals

Original artwork may require time for inspection, finishing, packing, crating, or coordination with a specialty art shipper before it leaves the studio.

We will provide shipping or delivery information as your order is prepared.

Limited Edition Prints

Limited Edition Prints are individually produced rather than maintained as mass-produced inventory.

Production time may therefore be required before your order ships.

Giclée on Canvas

Giclée on Canvas works are produced to order and may require printing, stretching, framing, finishing, inspection, and packing before shipment.

Production times vary according to the size and specifications of the work ordered.

Commissions

Delivery timing for commissioned artwork will be established as part of the commission process and may be governed by a separate proposal or commission agreement.

PRODUCTION AND DELIVERY ESTIMATES

Any production, shipping, or delivery timeframe provided on our website or in correspondence is an estimate unless we expressly guarantee a date in writing.

Fine-art production and delivery can involve multiple specialized artisans, framers, printers, packers, and carriers. Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control can affect a projected schedule.

If we become aware of a material delay affecting your order, we will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed.

SHIPPING CHARGES

Shipping and delivery charges depend on the artwork, destination, and delivery method.

Where shipping is included in the purchase price, this will be stated on the product page or during checkout.

Where shipping or delivery is charged separately, the applicable amount may be displayed at checkout or quoted separately before shipment.

Large, unusually sized, high-value, fragile, or specially framed works may require custom packing, crating, freight, specialty art transport, or white-glove delivery. Additional charges may apply.

LOCAL AND WHITE-GLOVE DELIVERY

For certain original artworks and larger pieces, local or white-glove delivery may be available or recommended.

Availability and cost depend on the destination, artwork, access requirements, and services requested.

Unless specifically included in your order, delivery does not necessarily include installation or hanging.

If installation is requested, any additional services and charges will be discussed separately.

DELIVERY ACCESS

For oversized artwork, the purchaser is responsible for confirming that the work can reasonably be delivered to its intended location.

Please consider doorways, hallways, stairways, elevators, loading areas, building restrictions, and other access conditions before ordering a large work.

If you are uncertain whether a piece will fit, please contact us before purchasing. We are happy to help evaluate dimensions and delivery considerations.

Additional charges resulting from inaccurate access information, failed delivery attempts, storage, redelivery, special equipment, or unusual site conditions may be the responsibility of the purchaser.

SHIPPING ADDRESSES

Please carefully review your shipping address when placing an order.

If you notice an error, contact us immediately at seth@sethbminkin.com.

Once an artwork has entered production or been transferred to a carrier, we may not be able to change the delivery address.

Additional charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address may be the purchaser’s responsibility.

TRACKING

When tracking information is available, it will generally be provided after the artwork has shipped.

Specialty art transport, freight, local delivery, and white-glove services may use scheduled delivery arrangements rather than conventional parcel tracking.

DELIVERY APPOINTMENTS

Certain shipments may require an appointment or signature at delivery.

Please make appropriate arrangements to receive the artwork when required.

For large or high-value works, we may require an adult signature or scheduled delivery rather than permitting the carrier to leave the artwork unattended.

DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

Please inspect your shipment promptly upon arrival.

If the exterior packaging appears damaged, photograph it before opening the package whenever reasonably possible.

If the artwork is damaged, please photograph:

  • The exterior packaging
  • The shipping label
  • The interior packaging
  • The artwork as it appeared when unpacked
  • Close-up images of the damage

Please retain all artwork and packaging while we investigate the issue.

Contact us at seth@sethbminkin.com as soon as possible. Our Return & Refund Policy provides additional information regarding damaged or defective items.

LOST SHIPMENTS

If tracking indicates that a shipment has been delivered but you have not received it, or if a shipment appears to have been lost in transit, please contact us promptly.

We will work with the applicable carrier or shipping provider to investigate.

Carrier investigations and insurance claims may require time to complete, and we appreciate your cooperation with any documentation reasonably required to resolve the matter.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

International shipping may be available for certain artwork.

International customers may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, VAT, or other charges imposed by the destination country unless we expressly state otherwise.

These charges are not controlled by Seth B. Minkin Fine Art and may not be included in the purchase or shipping price.

International delivery times may also be affected by customs processing and other destination-specific requirements.

Please contact us before purchasing if you have questions about international delivery of a particular work.

UNCLAIMED OR REFUSED DELIVERIES

If a shipment is refused, unclaimed, or returned because delivery could not be completed for reasons unrelated to damage or an error by Seth B. Minkin Fine Art, additional shipping, storage, handling, or redelivery charges may apply.

Because many of our works are original, limited-edition, or made to order, refusal of delivery does not constitute cancellation of the purchase.

QUESTIONS ABOUT DELIVERY

If you are considering a large work, have unusual delivery requirements, or simply want to understand how a particular piece will reach you, please contact us before ordering.

We are happy to discuss the best delivery method for the work and your location.
