RETURN & REFUND POLICY
Last updated: September 29, 2026
At Seth B. Minkin Fine Art, we want you to purchase artwork with confidence. We take great care in the creation, production, finishing, packing, and delivery of every work we sell.
Because of the nature of original artwork and the made-to-order production of our prints and framed works, our return policy differs from that of a traditional retail store. Please review the following information before placing your order.
FINAL SALE
Except in the case of damaged, defective, or incorrectly fulfilled items, all artwork is final sale.
Signature Originals
Seth’s Signature Originals are one-of-a-kind works of art. Because each work is unique, all sales of original artwork are final.
Limited Edition Prints
Our Limited Edition Prints are individually produced in collaboration with professional fine-art printing partners. Limited Edition Prints are final sale.
Giclée on Canvas
Our Giclée on Canvas works are produced to order and may be made according to your selected size, framing, and finishing options. These works are final sale.
Commissions and Custom Work
Commissioned and custom artwork is created specifically for an individual client, location, occasion, or purpose and is therefore final sale.
Commission projects may also be subject to separate terms concerning deposits, payments, approvals, revisions, cancellations, delivery, and other project-specific matters. Where a separate written commission agreement or proposal applies, its terms will control.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable consumer-protection law.
CANCELLATIONS AND ORDER CHANGES
We begin coordinating production and fulfillment quickly after an order is placed.
Orders for Limited Edition Prints, Giclée on Canvas works, custom-framed works, commissions, and other made-to-order products generally cannot be cancelled or modified once production has begun.
If you discover an error in your order, please contact us immediately at seth@sethbminkin.com. If production has not yet begun, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
We cannot guarantee that an order can be changed or cancelled after it has been submitted.
DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT ITEMS
If your artwork arrives damaged, contains a material defect, or you receive an item that differs materially from what you ordered, please contact us within 30 days of delivery.
We will work with you to determine an appropriate resolution, which may include repair, replacement, or refund, as appropriate and as required by applicable law.
Please email seth@sethbminkin.com and include:
- Your name and order number
- A description of the problem
- Photographs of the artwork
- Photographs of the packaging if the work was damaged in transit
- Photographs of any visible damage to the shipping container
Please retain all original packaging until we have reviewed the issue and advised you whether it is needed for a carrier or insurance claim.
Do not return artwork without contacting us first. Fine art requires appropriate packing, handling, shipping, and insurance, and unauthorized returns may compromise our ability to resolve a claim.
DAMAGE IN TRANSIT
We take considerable care in preparing artwork for shipment.
If a package appears damaged when it arrives, please photograph the package before opening it whenever reasonably possible. After opening the package, photograph any damage to the artwork as well as the interior packing materials.
Please retain the artwork and all packaging while we review the claim.
Depending on the circumstances, we may coordinate directly with the carrier, insurer, printer, framer, or other production partner involved in fulfilling your order.
We will provide instructions if the artwork needs to be returned, repaired, inspected, or replaced.
COLOR, TEXTURE AND HANDMADE CHARACTERISTICS
We make every reasonable effort to represent artwork accurately on our website. However, colors may vary somewhat depending on your monitor, device, display settings, and lighting conditions.
Original artwork and individually produced fine-art works may also contain natural variations in surface, texture, materials, printing, finishing, or other characteristics inherent to the artistic and production processes.
These normal variations are not considered defects.
If you have questions about the color, materials, dimensions, framing, texture, or other characteristics of a work, we encourage you to contact us before purchasing.
APPROVED RETURNS
If we authorize the return of an artwork because it is damaged, defective, incorrectly fulfilled, or otherwise eligible for return under applicable law, we will provide instructions for returning the work.
Please do not ship artwork to us without receiving return instructions first.
Where the return results from damage, defect, or an error on our part, we will arrange or reimburse reasonable return shipping as appropriate.
Any artwork being returned must be packed according to the instructions we provide. Whenever possible, the original packaging should be used.
REFUNDS
When a refund is appropriate, it will generally be issued to the original method of payment.
Processing times after a refund is issued vary by bank, card issuer, and payment provider and are outside our control.
Original shipping or delivery charges may not be refundable except where required by law or where the return results from damage, defect, or an error on our part.

We would much rather answer a question before you purchase than have you uncertain about a work afterward.
